About the Association
The MMBA came into existence the spring of 2000 with the intentions of making the riding here really great. One of our primary goals is advocating for long terms trail access by working with government at multiple levels as well as other user groups. The MMBA was one of the first groups in the province to have an agreement with the crown to manage the trails we ride. As of March 2008 the agreement ran out, due mostly to a change in insurance requirements for clubs, although we still have good relations with our local MOTSA contact. In the long run we hope that the local mountain bike trails become designated official recreation trails and thus afford some protection.
