Trail Conditions
May 8th 2012 updates
Bears - Numerous sitings this last week in Godey!
Coutlee (Cow Trail/JP etc)
JP Cool is in really great shape, a new bridge and teeter toter are working well
two small bridges on JP need replacing, lots of water flowing
Cow Trail signage, need a new sign at the start
Sanchez is great.
Crosscut needs a rake and some new signage, you need to keep your eyes open at one spot as the trail is indistinct for about 10 yards, a good raking will fix this.
Ed’s Way cut out and resigned
RocknRoll has a lot of deadfall on it, we have a falling crew heading out in the near future to cut out the 100 plus trees down on and around the trail. All do to pine beetle.
Scenic Area
This is in town above Norgaard’s pit, south facing and sandy. Dry, fully ridable. Signage needs upgrading but hard to get really lost. You need to find creative routes to get to the start of the single track as there are now gates bordering the pit due to the mine act.
Too Much Info/Lower Godey
Ridge had been recently signed. TMI is tachy.
Lundbohm Lake Area
likely ridable but no reports from any riders yet
Iron Mountain
still closed
IF YOU HAVE ANY RIDING REPORTS PLEASE SEND THEM MY WAY VIA EMAIL
